The Gamer's Guild is an afterschool club were students play all types of games.

Strategic boardgames, card games, economic simulations, role-playing, and historical miniature combat. It was founded in 2004.

In the 2007-8 School year the club hosted a Star Wars convention and via a grant aquired enough miniatures to recreate the Battle of Hoth.  The best part of this convention was the coincidental timing of the event.  In order for the school year to be over by Memorial Day the school board decreed that a snow make up day would be had on a Saturday.  What?? Go to school on Saturday!  That's outrageous in itself but the Saturday they picked was going to be the day of the Star Wars Convention.  My principal then declared the convention to be a "field trip" ... a field trip to the library... and thus the members of the Gamer's Guid were able to attend the convention and have it count as a school day.

In the 2008-9 School year the club got a grant that paid for many board games.  Those being: Roborally, Puerto Rico, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Toledo, Battlelore.

In 2009 the club started to play test an XDM module.  Navigate on the lefthand side or Click here for a sample script and photos of the play test.
